How Custom Training Works

There are times when the classes offered in our training center do not fit the true needs of our clients. If your firm needs to train more than 10 people, or if the people who need training have different skill levels or play different roles at your firm, you may benefit from a custom training solution.

Computers In Design Inc. will work with you to tailor our training to support your design and production work flow.

We typically begin with a CAD Skills Assessment of the potential trainees so that we can identify roles and training needs, and a CAD practices survey, so that we understand how you use CAD in your firm.

We write training objectives and customize our classes to support these objectives. This may be a mixture of hand-on training classes, seminars, and one on one training. We can incorporate projects in progress at your firm as training projects.

Training can take place in our facility, in a training facility at your office, or in one on one sessions at individual workstations. Training schedules are created to accommodate your work needs.

Custom training will typically include:

  • CAD Management training for principals, partners and senior associates
Training to give management an understanding of what to expect from CAD and how to manage the CAD workflow

  • New Hire training
Training for New Hires who have a CAD background in the specific CAD process and procedures in use at your firm

  • Skills training
Group or one on one classes in the CAD software in use at your office

Pricing for one on one custom training is at an hourly rate of $100/hour.
General pricing for classes with groups of 3 or more is $160/per student for each 4 hour training session.
