Success Stories

In 2000 Computers In Design Inc. began working with Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates PC to facilitate a transition from using Bentley Microstation as their principle CAD program to using Autodesk AutoCAD instead.

The transition had to be carefully planned, so that personnel starting new projects in AutoCAD would have the training, equipment and software needed, and ongoing projects using Microstation still had the full support of the CAD management staff.

Computers in Design created a new AutoCAD based CAD standards manual, assisted with software installation and configuration, facilitated the implementation of AutoCAD 2000 style plotting, and trained draftspeople, designers, managers and firm principals.

Tomas Hernandez, Computer Manager during the transition, had this to say about working with Computers in Design Inc.:

"As the computer Manager of one of the largest Architectural firms in the Country, we recently made an executive decision to begin the switch from Microstation, (which the firm has used for over ten years) to AutoCAD. The transition would not have been possible without Michael. His experience with Autodesk products along with his many years of experience in the architectural profession made the transition more manageable through his excellent techniques and suggestions of implementation."
